TeleAmerica has evolved into a broadcasting leader in the South Florida market devoted to depicting compelling ethnic stories/programming for a universal audience. We view ourselves as pioneers bringing a unique ethnic television and radio programming to the American landscape. TeleAmerica Broadcasting Network consist of TeleAmerica, which broadcasts on COMCAST cable channel 88, Miami Latin TV (TeleAmerica en Espanol), which broadcasts on COMCAST cable channel 81, WAVS, 1170 AM, WSRF, 1580 AM . Both WAVS and WSRF are two FCC licensed radio stations in the South Florida market that have been blazing a trail to facilitate assimilation and cross-cultural relations within our diverse populations.

TeleAmerica is the culmination of over 22 years of direct broadcasting experience in South Florida to ethnic, growth niche markets. Our founders Jean and Manny Cherubin have each amassed over 22 years of media experience and general business acumen to profitably operate this conglomerate. These visionaries have diligently prepared for the transformation of TeleAmerica by sowing the seeds of development in the various ethnic communities; English, Spanish and Haitian Creole speaking populations of South Florida. Jean and Manny have had community-building businesses, provided philanthropic assistance, and helped with the overall preservation and promotion of these niche markets’ cultures and people.

TeleAmerica is the industry pioneer in Caribbean radio, ethnic television broadcasting and Internet streaming in America. With registered ownership of several FCC licenses, TeleAmerica media properties include the following:

Comcast Channel 88: (currently aired in three counties in South Florida: Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe) This channel consist of 24-hours of television programming in English of compelling and culturally competent content reflecting the diverse mosaic we affectionately call, South Florida. Inspiration is drawn from the myriad of experiences and cultures of our English, Haitian-Creole, and Hindi populations of the African, Asian & Caribbean Diaspora.

Comcast Channel 81: TeleAmerica en Espanol (currently aired in three counties in South Florida: Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe) 24-hour ethnic television programming in Spanish of compelling and culturally competent content reflecting the diverse Hispanic communities of South Florida. Inspiration is drawn from the myriad of experience and cultures of the Caribbean South American, and European Diaspora.

WAVS 1170 AM: (FCC licensed radio station covering Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties) This station consist of 24-hour ethnic radio programming in English to celebrate the Caribbean culture, its music, news and events. This radio station serves as a direct link into the Caribbean Diaspora communities in South Florida for our programmers and advertisers.

WSRF 1580 AM: (currently in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties) This station consist of 24-hour ethnic radio programming in Haitian Creole to celebrate Haitian culture, its music, news and events. This radio station serves as a direct link into the Haitian Diaspora communities in South Florida for our programmers and advertisers.
